We were going to give out a short survey and just put it on everyone's door.  One of the questions in that survey was if they would take the long survey.

The idea was to cut back on the time it takes to find out who is interested in spiritual things or in helping neighbors and who is not, so we could go straight to the people that were interested.  There were several good reasons we did not think it would work and we were ready to scrap it when the hospitality revelation came.

God loves everyone, we wouldn't want to exclude someone because they didn't respond to a survey.    The hospitality "tool" makes it quicker and more fun.  I believe it will also open hearts more than any formal methods.

The questions may still be useful as food for thought.
