 Stirring the Church to Action!

To love God with all our heart, soul and strength, and our neighbor as ourselves....

We know we should love our neighbors; joining our hearts and lives with fellow Christians and reaching those that don't know Him with the love of Christ and the message of redemption.

We know we are called to the highways and byways, to compel them to come to His great feast, but there are many challenges to obeying this command.  We are often too busy.  How do we do it?

Now there's a simple way to reach out and to help our neighbors that doesn't require committing another specific "night" or day in an already packed schedule. Instead of going to another "meeting" and talking about doing something for God that time can be spent DOING it, and you can fit it into your schedule whenever you want.

Love Your Neighbor Christian Network

The LYNC Network provides a simple web based means of communicating in our busy culture that links Christians and all neighbors with a heart to serve with those who need help. The LYNC Network combines that communication network with a door to door evangelism plan that equips, enables and mobilizes believers with the needed tools to help them get to know their Christian neighbors, and together reach the lost and meet the practical needs of their neighbors.

A way to reach ALL the "highways and byways"

An individual, family, group or Church "adopts" a street, then hands every person in each home an invitation to church, an offer of help from Christians and other neighbors in their area or a free interactive CD or DVD.  Results are recorded on an internet database in order to ensure that every street and home has been reached.

Multi-purpose door to door visits

Tell them

The most and perhaps only effective way of telling the real "good news" to people is through a Christian who is filled with the Spirit and Word of God, speaking the truth in love, even if it is not comfortable.   The world, starting with our neighbors must know that the "part time" Christianity and hypocrisy often displayed in the modern church is not a representation of the full redemption Christ came to provide.    We must demonstrate a transformed life and a love of the brethren that will cause them to wonder,  and to know that we are His disciples.

If we do not get a chance to talk in person, as much as is possible without the personal impassioned plea, the printed invitations and the CD/DVDs that we leave with our neighbors will aim to help us:

  • Tell everyone the good news of our redemption and how they can be saved.
  • Invite our neighbors to church (home churches in the neighborhood or a traditional church).
  • Stir up Christians to live what they believe.
  • Invite neighbors to nearby events for fellowship and friendship
  • Invite neighbors, Christians AND their whole Church to join in, adopt some streets and link their hearts and hands to ours!

Show them

The Forum web site helps us work together:

  • Through the open door of volunteer service and genuine hospitality we can build relationships and meet our neighbors' practical needs so the Church truly demonstrates the love of Christ with our actions.
  • We can deepen the relationships and "make disciples" through Friendship Forums that help us coordinate busy schedules.  Invite neighbors and new friends to your church's small groups, dinner, picnics, whatever.  If your church doesn't have a small group meeting, start a neighborhood prayer/study group focused on reaching your other neighbors. Get the Sunday School outside the walls and out where they are starving for truth. Jesus trained his disciples on the streets, not in the synagogue!

Free Materials, Training and Interactive CD/DVDs

The interactive CD and DVD (when completed) will always be free for download and available at cost in printed form or on disc.

God has been stirring the church,

Gifts are being realized,

Passion is ignited,

The harvest is white...

It's time to send the Workers

The LYNC Network is a simple plan to activate and organize the workers in the field.

Often we think of someone in church, at work, or maybe in our neighborhood that is in need and we wish we could help them, but maybe we don't have time at the moment we think about it, or we may not have the resources or skills to help them.  Sometimes it just slips our minds.  So many spiritual and physical needs often end up unseen, unheard and sadly, unmet. Ironically, at the same time many Christians' ministry gifts are pent up, stifled or become stagnant because they lack an outlet.

This plan gives the body of Christ the ability to quickly and easily match the need with the ministry gift, and get the job done.  It gives a means of communication to a busy people that often don't have time to "sit on the porch and talk".  Believers will be released to minister in the areas they feel called.  Souls in need of a Savior will find Him, and the love of God will be demonstrated as we take the "Church" to the streets.

The LYNC Network links hearts and hands so the world may know we are His disciples.

The heart of the LYNC Network is a Forum website that facilitates communication in our busy culture.  It provides a link between Christians with a heart to serve and those who need help.  It also helps find convenient times for critical Christian fellowship.

Four basic types of participation are available:

  1. Reach Out- door to door V-Teams that distribute evangelistic CD/DVDs, invite neighbors to church and offer help to those in need
  2. Volunteer to Help- Christians and neighbors that make themselves available to meet those needs are S-Teams or service teams.  If you're itching to serve, but don't know who needs help, now there's a way to find out.
  3. LYNC Network Web Link (webLYNC)- Some neighbors may want to help others, but do not have internet access. You can help by being a link between people who want to help and the LYNC Network web site.  You just call the S-Team "helpers" when a need comes through the site. This person also provides another human element of safety to the network to prevent inappropriate or questionable responses to needs.
  4. Friendship Forums - Extend and accept invitations for fellowship with other believers in your neighborhood through the incredible convenience of a web based Forum.

If you have a need...

The help that people offer through the LYNC Network is done on a neighborhood level. It is initiated through personal visits to homes.  Since we do not have networks in every neighborhood it is not practical that we could receive requests for help through the internet.

This network is primarily to aid communication between Christians and others that want to help their neighbors.  There is a special website where registered users relay the needs to the ones that can meet them.  It is password protected to protect the privacy of the neighbors.
